Bricka Bracka is nestled in the cultural hub of Sacramento’s bustling Midtown. We share the “Grid” life with many other cutting business, art galleries, restaurants ad artsy boutiques. Bricka Bracka is our office, but we are more than happy to open our space to events.

PREVIOUS EVENTS
Obama Campaign, Fundraiser
Bricka Bracka and Revolution Wines (right behind us) teamed up with the Obama Campaign for one spectacular money-maker. People of all ages, backgrounds, and even tax-brackets positively poured in to bid on the huge array of specialty pieces including two 7-foot portraits painted right in front of us in an invigorating live performance by Sacramento’s own David Garibaldi. Wine tasting across the hall and posh snacks kept the crowd fueled for an eclectic collection of musical performances including Agent Ribbons and Kevin Sandbloom. Imagine what we could do with you!

Kevin Sandbloom, Concert
Ever heard of “acoustic soul”? Well, now you have. Kevin utters forth a smooth, mournful, undulating sound with just the right presence of good old, down south soul. He sang his heart out (possibly literally); the crowd clapped, cheered and demanded an encore. Now don’t you want that to be you up there?

ICUP Comedy Troupe, Rehearsal
Stephanie Hyden (a.k.a. Steffie) is the charismatic director of ICUP; don’t spell it out loud; who wisely selected us, Bricka Bracka, for ICUP’s weekly rehearsals. They spend 2+ hours, every Thursday, spewing random yet coordinated humors, enjoying themselves, entertaining anyone who happens to be present, and generally appreciating the level of comfort and accommodation we easily share. What could be better?

Agent Ribbons, Concert
Ok, we sought them out… Natalie, lead singer of Agent Ribbons, has a power-house voice, neon cotton-candy pink hair, a style all her own, and a stage presence matched by few. She was an instant, enthralling, and refreshing hit. Word spreads quickly after something like that, if ya catch my drift. Let’s see if you can’t be the next.

Pompsicle, Drawing Class
Basically, people dress up and get drawn. Music pumps, sunlight fails, and they just keep sketching. Anyone can join in at $7/session. I have no idea how they pick their models but it’s been a rewarding experience every Tuesday evening. Want to start something of your own or just need somewhere to continue what’s already begun? That’s why we’re here.

The Red Paintings, Concert
People will come from far and wide to perform here; as proven by The Red Paintings, all the way from Australia. They swept in, blew us all away, and left the next morning (after a wicked after party) for the next stop on their tour. Visionary Brisbane-based performer Trash McSweeney sees colour in his music. Ever since suffering a near-fatal seizure eight years ago, Trash set out to share with the world a lifetime's worth of ideas about what he has seen and felt. By taking to his guitar, piano, and notebook, The Red Paintings were officially born upon the dawn of the new millennium. http://fringemag.com/features/bricka-bracka-the-newest-eclectic-hot-spot-in-sacramentohttp://www.brickabracka.com/obamahttp://www.kevinsandbloom.com/http://www.youtube.com/user/ICUPComedyhttp://www.myspace.com/agentribbonshttp://www.myspace.com/pompsiclehttp://www.theredpaintings.com/shapeimage_2_link_0shapeimage_2_link_1shapeimage_2_link_2shapeimage_2_link_3shapeimage_2_link_4shapeimage_2_link_5shapeimage_2_link_6
